In Mzuzu, Mary Mount Catholic Secondary School has expressed gratitude to #MACRA for visiting the school during the Safer Internet Day school outreach program. The outreach program was conducted in the three regions of the country reaching out to selected government and private secondary schools.
Mary Mount was one of the schools which was earmarked for this exercise. The school has a Cyber Wellness Club aimed at raising responsible digital citizens. The school called on #MACRA to continue providing awareness to the students through such activities. “Through such outreach programs our students are equipped with prerequisite knowledge to prevent rampart misconducts students are currently experiencing online which include addiction, cyber bullying, online fraud, and depression,” said the Patron for Mary Mount Cyber Wellness Club William Mgabadere, who is also one of the teachers at the school.
