The Malawi Computer Emergency Response Team (MwCERT), hosted Computer Science students from LUANAR NRC Campus who visited the unit for an educational cybersecurity tour. The visit was aimed at providing practical exposure to the country’s cybersecurity operations and digital safety environment.
The tour provided students with both technical and theoretical insights into various areas of cybersecurity including incident response, cyber threat management, digital safety, cyber awareness and national cybersecurity coordination.
During the session, students interacted with the Malawi CERT team exploring real world cybersecurity challenges, emerging threats and the importance of cyber resilience in today’s digital landscape.
The visit highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice by giving students practical exposure to cybersecurity environments beyond the classroom.\
