Malawi CERT and National Defence College training on Cyber Security and National Security

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has provided financial support  to  the National Defense College for training on cyber security and national security.

The training began on the 4th of December and there are three phases of the training that will end on the 15th of December 2023.

Speaking on behalf of MACRA’s Director General, Head of Malawi Computer Emergency Response Team (mwCERT) Christopher Banda emphasized the need to equip the masses with the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure that they are safe and secure when using cyberspace for both personal and professional purposes.

The training has drawn 70 participants from the Malawi Defense Force, Immigration, Ministry of Information, and other government departments
